I first qualified as a dental technician in 1987, and have been a laboratory owner since 1990. In 2009, the opportunity arose to become one of the first Clinical Dental Technicians actually trained in the United Kingdom. At the end of this two year course I was awarded the highest achieving student out of a class of 80, and was also awarded a prize for my contribution to teamwork. In 2016, I was one of the first clinicians to learn the Dr Abe suction denture technique and have recently attended the advanced course.
I have worked with my friends and colleagues at Selby Dental Care since 1982, and have been providing denture treatment at the highly acclaimed 'Fresh Dental Smile Clinic' in York since 2018. I have recently become part of the friendly team at Snaith Dental Care providing the patient's there with the highest quality denture treatment.

Usually it takes 3 to 5 weeks, but in certain circumstances the treatment can be completed much more quickly.

Approximately 3 to 6 months, although an individual assessment is required.
Your new dentures may feel uncomfortable, strange, or loose for the first few weeks. Once your cheek muscles and tongue adapt to the new dentures, they will help keep them in place.
Usually new dentures will stay in place without the need for denture adhesive once they have bedded in. This "bedding in" process may take a few weeks in certain circumstances.
